Abhinavagupta
Abhinavagupta was probably the clearest exponent of the process of shaktipat.
He described it in detail in the 13th Ahnika of Tantraloka. The related
process of vedhadiksha is discussed in the 29th Ahnika. Unfortunately the
Tantraloka remains untranslated in English although it is translated
into Italian by R. Gnoli and his writings on shaktipat are analysed by
SenSharma.
